MY SAVIOR IS A SHEPHERD KIND My Savior is a shepherd kind! He fills my heart with praise! How can I lack while love divine leads in delightful ways? He leads me where green pastures grow, beside a healing stream, And heav'nly rest I know, I know, as I abide in Him Here is my panting soul restored from weariness and shame; In paths of righteousness He leads to magnify his Name. When led through shady vales of death, no evil can I fear; Beneath my Shepherd's rod I rest-- his staff is comfort dear. My Savior is a Shepherd kind! He fills my heart with praise! What love He shows when wicked foes would turn me from His ways. When tempted in the wilderness, where enemies abound, A bounteous table He will bless, and with me there sit down. He feeds my soul with living bread, with rich and joyous wine, How kindly He anoints my head, with oil of grace divine.
